I'm hoping that blogging will help get my brain going on starting a rough draft for my research paper, which is due at around 6ish.
The reason for the gaps in blog posts is because I've been working on my Final projects for Landscape Architecture.
It started Monday night around 9:30 with working in studio.
I biked down the hill and saw that Modern was practicing. I felt bad for missing it.
But some things are more important than others right now.
All I remember was working and laughing from time to time.
I left around 4:45am to get some rest for what was going to be an epic day ahead.
It was really nice biking bike.
Nice and chilly, and the moon was still out, shining bright.
I prepared for bed and set my alarm at 9:30am.
My alarm woke me up, but I went back to sleep for 10 more minutes.
I woke up again, and it was 11:30am. cool.
I got up and Basilio was home.
We ate some brunch together.
I showered and went to studio.
BLDG 34 (Dexter) ROOM 248
It was my new home until I was done.
I entered and there were only a few people working.
I sat at my desk, stared at my work for a while.
I finally started and got going.
As the hours passed, the room slowly filled up.
Nonstop working and nonstop talking filled the late night/early morning.
All time was lost.
We didn't know what day it was, nor did we care.
It was a wonderful, yet stressful experience.
The lack of sleep + energy drinks were making people delirious.
I didn't bother getting an energy drink, but yet I was becoming delirious as well.
I felt I got a lot closer with my classmates, as corny as it may seem.
Everyone was in the same boat, and everyone need everyone else to escape from all the work.
We watched as the moon set and the sun rise through the windows.
The sunshine slowly crept onto the Kennedy Library across from us.
Charles and I went to Julian's Patisserie in the library and grabbed some breakfast.
I got a Pepperoni and Cheese Torpedo, so did Charles.
We met up with Mackenzie, cause she was sleeping for a bit there.
We walked back and ate our food, then got back to work.
It was crunch time to work on one of our projects.
A few more hours until it was due.
12pm Tuesday.
Final Project one due.
I was able to finish with satisfaction.
It was a little disappointing and upsetting for everyone.
Our teacher didn't really "collect" our work.
We busted our asses on it for nothing, kind of.
Next was our Site Engineering project.
It was time to haul ass for this as well.
It all came down to the wire.
It was 5pm and I hadn't finished yet.
Just a bit more.
I was able to turn it in on time, but not my best.
I passed up the option of turning it Friday and being penalized.
I did not want to deal with it much longer.
It was finally over. After 30+ hours without sleep.
I raced back to the apartment. Basilio was home, again.
I ate some chicken and he baked some cookies.
I went to my room, laid down on my bed.
It felt more comfy than normal.
I was on my laptop.
I don't remember what I was looking at.
I fell asleep without knowing it.
15 hours later, I am awake.
Refreshed, reinvigorated, rejuvenated.
I felt like I missed out on a lot.
But everything is paying off.
Now that I got the juices flowing, I can attempt to write my paper now.
A video my classmate, Chris Ray, made in studio of him drawing. It's pretty dope.
He has one filming the entire class. I'll put it up when he posts it.
