I was watching One Tree Hill the other day, and this dialogue came up.

"You can't choose who you love."

"But you can choose to open your heart to love."

Modern society has tainted my judgment.
It's becoming almost superficial.
Why must first impressions be the basis on whether or not you think you'll like someone?
You don't really know a person, until you really know them.

Modern society has caused insecurity.
Insecure in a superficial world.
Why must first impressions be the basis on whether or not you'll like me?
You don't really know me, until you really know me.

Modern society has desensitized feelings of compassion.
It's always a laughing matter, never a cause of concern.
Where's the heart?
It's all for self-satisfaction
