It has been one hell of a damn week.
Amazing.
Hard work truly pays off.
Pilipino Cultural NIght and everything that has led up to it has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life so far. From the very beginning to now will be cherished.
I auditioned into PCN kind of on a whim. I didn't really think about what I was getting myself into. I guess it's just fulfilling the dream of acting. I think we all have dreams of acting and making it big. I tried out for a main role. Aiming high.
Weeks later, I found out I got a part as a main. It was pretty cool too because I found out during my birthday party ay my new house.
Practices started I don't know when. Every Monday for the next couple of months. It was really cool seeing the play develop, seeing myself get lost into my character.

This whole week was "Hell Week" but I didn't think of it as hell at all. It was soooo much fun. Despite all the long nights, and not completing any work for school, well worth it.
The night of the first show, it was nerve-wrecking. But not like shaking legs nerve-wrecking. I was sooo excited. I wanted to show the world what I could offer. Friday Night show was all right, not as big of a crowd as expected. It was a pleasant surprise to see some of my classmates from my major in the audience. The show went pretty well, two hours and fifteen minutes long, the shortest in a while. I messed up once, forgot a line. No worries.
SATURDAY NIGHT ALUMNI SHOW
This was by far the best thing that's happened to me in a while. I thought this show was going to be hard because the alumni would be trying hard to distract us. But I kept my nerves. I'm guessing the bowl cut was received well with the audience as well as the onesie and the little kid voice. I almost messed up in one scene because one of the props was not cooperating with me. I had to improv and it ended up being way better. Huge applause from the crowd. Another scene I improv'd again and I did it for the alumni. I'm glad they liked it. The show ended up being a huge success, huge applause, everyone laughing.
I heard a lot of people say it was the funniest PCN and all that jazz.
What made my night the most:
The feeling that I pleased the crowd and receiving their applause. Almost nothing can compare to it.
Receiving congratulations from people I did not know that watched it.
Affecting people with my character, having them talk like him.
It was an all-around excellent night.
I kind of wished my friends back home came, just to share this experience with them.
I can't wait for next year and for the years to come.
What an experience...sigh
